Liminality

Liminality is a state of transition between one stage and the next, especially between major stages in one’s life. Under this umbrella, the works reflect a process in which shifts take place.

The present circumstances of covid-19 pandemic have been contributing to deepening my self-reflection – my contemplation of a profound need to reconcile so many disparities and try to involve others in this process.

Being a receptive antenna of our surroundings, I realize that we won’t be able to move forward as a global team if we continue ignoring or covering up the inconvenient truth. I feel that it’s high time to assess the self-imposed structures we create around us to suit either internal or external demands. I’m questioning the decisions we are taking for our planet, and the power-based decisions we make founded on the old paradigms of differences among us and growing barriers that keep us apart.
